These sweets are used in the celebration of baptisms, first communions and weddings, to be offered to the guests. The most common is an almond covered with hard white sugar in an oval shape. Confetti may also have an interior of hazelnut or chocolate — even a small aniseed, producing a round sweet - and may also be coloured pink, red, silver or gold.
