Cornetto is a bread shaped like the French croissant, made with a 00 (doppio zero) flour dough folded to create layers of pastry, much like puff pastry. It is sometimes made with pane all’olio, a dough made with oil or butter to make it more crumbly. A similar bread, called chifel, is made in Trentino-Alto Adige.
