  • About
Originally from Dalmatia in Yugoslavia, this liqueur made from Marasca (morello) cherries was adopted by Italians mainly to add to fruit salads or for cocktails or for use in pastries. It has a sweet, slightly almond taste and is produced mostly in the Veneto region, where it is produced by lengthy processing of the cherries, which are crushed, fermented and distilled.
