For all my recipes, there are always great alternatives, and it’s my opinion that there is no right or wrong way to cook something. One seed can be replaced with another, red meat can be replaced with fish or chicken, and I often replace normal flour with oats, almonds and coconut … somehow it just all works.
My children also enjoy adapting age-old family recipes – my daughter, Josephine, has created her take on the traditional frikadeller recipe, using turkey rather than pork, as it’s easier to digest but just as tasty.
