Prepare and bake according to the recipe. Cool completely. Wrap securely or seal in a freezer bag; label and freeze. Thaw at room temperature or place on a paper plate and defrost in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes, depending upon the number of muffins, until thawed and/or warm. If desired, split and toast. Defrost individual muffins in the microwave for 30 seconds.
