An assortment of ready-made skins are widely available at the frozen section of supermarkets. Spring roll skins are white in colour. They are cooked and contain no egg. Those sold in the supermarkets are usually square in shape while the freshly made ones are round. Siew mai skins are yellow in colour. They are made with egg and are similar to wan tan skin, but for their shape. Siew mai skins are round, while wan tan skins are square.
