  • About

Pour 2 cups of hot water into a Pyrex measuring cup and add a drop or two of dish soap. Return the dirty bowl and Steel Blade to the base, replace the lid and start the machine. Gradually pour soapy water through the feed tube while the machine is running, adding just enough to come almost to the top of the bowl where it meets the lid. (You may not need to add all the water—it depends on the capacity of the work bowl. If you add too much water, it will leak out where the lid and bowl meet.) Let the machine run for 30 to 60 seconds; a few quick on/off pulses will also help clean out the bowl and underside of the lid. Stop the machine and immediately remove the bowl and blade from the base to prevent leaking. Pour out the soapy liquid, rinse the bowl, blade and lid well, wipe dry and you’re good to go again!
