The Algarve

We loved exploring different towns each day by car, including Sagres, Salema, Tavira, Aljezur, Lagos, and Praia da Luz. Eat at Casa Chico Zé in Faro (it’s a unique location with a small farm out back) and Restaurante O Camilo, on a cliff above the ocean in Lagos. Be sure to do a boat tour of the grottoes out of Lagos as well—there are several small operators that offer them near the harbor. One of my favorite experiences in the Algarve was an olive oil tasting at Monterosa Olive Oil Farm in Moncarapacho.
