This incredibly useful utensil is made of flexible plastic with both flat and rounded edges. It is used by chefs to scrape out the contents of bowls and saucepans as well as clearing the work surface of food debris; I could not cook without one. Pastry scrapers are available from specialist cookware shops and cost virtually nothing.
