  • About
A natural stone, carborundum stone, or diamond-studded block that is available in a wide range of grits (degrees of coarseness) and is used to sharpen knives. The grit abrades the blade’s edge, creating a very sharp cutting edge. A coating of water or mineral oil keeps the grit free of particles while being used.
