Beef Tallow

You will notice throughout this book that I mention that you need to lubricate your pan with beef tallow. There are a few ways to make this happen. The easiest way is to toss some ground beef in your pan just when you are ready to cook. Crumble and cook the beef, allowing the fat to lubricate the pan. Remove the beef and feed it to the dog. You can also buy rendered beef, or tallow, at most good grocery stores or save the beef fat you drained from when you made chili.
