Oh, nut paste or peanut butter, it’s really damn good! It’s easy to make yourself—there’s nothing to it. Not only can you choose your favorite nuts for this, but you can also add chocolate to make homemade Nutella. Or you could add some chiles for a spicy nut butter; it’s completely up to you.
I only see good things coming. Get to work!
FOR 2 SMALL JARS (ABOUT 2 CUPS)
  1. set out on the counter: 1 cup (100 g) chopped hazelnuts, ⅔ cup (100 g) almonds, ⅔ cup (100 g) peanuts, 1 tsp cinnamon, pinch of salt, 2 to 3 tbsp sugar (to taste), 1 tbsp apple syrup (Dutch appelstroop; use molasses or honey if you can’t find it), and ¼ cup plus 2 tbsp (1 dl) sunflower oil.

  2. put everything in a food processor.

  3. grind thoroughly, or really as finely as you like. If the paste turns out a little dry, you can add some more oil.

  4. spoon into clean jars; it will keep for weeks in the fridge, but you won’t have it around that long.
