  • About
After halving lengthwise and seeding, cucumbers may be sliced into crescents, or cut into strips, then crosswise into sticks.
  • 1 For sticks: peel the cucumber, cut it in half lengthwise and, if you like, scoop out the seeds with a teaspoon. Cut halves in several lengthwise strips, then cut across.

  • 2 For crescents: peel the cucumber in strips as for cups, halve it, and, if you like, scoop out the seeds. Cut the cucumber in thin crosswise slices.

  • For a decorative garnish, fan out the cucumber crescents with your hand.
