Cutting Pear Fans

  • About
Pear halves can be cut attractively into the shape of a fan to decorate salads or pastries.
  1. Peel, quarter and core the pear. Slice it finely and evenly, cutting almost, but not quite, through the stem end.

  2. With the flat of your hand, fan out the slices so that they remain attached at the stem end.
