Sweetened Condensed Milk is a sweet and sticky dairy product sold in cans in the baking aisle. It is prepared by cooking down a mixture of milk and sugar and removing about half of the water content until you’re left with a thick concentrated product. Sweetened condensed milk is a key ingredient in key lime pie and should not be confused with evaporated milk which is not sweetened.
