We try to keep it simple in the kitchen, but you will need some gear to bake effectively. A good stand mixer is essential, of course, as are rubber spatulas, a pastry brush, and a few sizes of whisks, including a balloon whisk. For pans, it’s good to have a couple of standard half-sheet baking pans, a 10-inch pie pan, a few 9-inch cake pans, an 8-inch cake pan, a half-sheet cake pan, a couple of 6-cup (large) muffin tins, a standard-size 12-muffin tin, and, if you want to make a tart, an 8½-inch fluted tart pan with removable bottom. If you want to make the Golden Milk Latte, you’ll need a centrifugal extraction juicer, unless you have a place where you can buy turmeric juice and ginger juice.
