I suspect these vegetables are offered to children as a slightly sweeter alternative to more serious greens like broccoli and cabbage. My experience was that they were usually steamed or boiled and just served as is. Great if they’re just picked and of the best quality, but if they’ve been in plastic for 5 days in the fridge, they’ll certainly need a bright lift from fresh herbs and a splash of vinegar or citrus. Try charring in a pan or dressing while hot with ginger, garlic, chilli and lime.
