Buy sweetcorn fresh on the cob when in season. Eat it on the cob or remove the kernels before cooking and use in soups or as a vegetable. You can also buy frozen or tinned corn. Drain tinned sweetcorn to get rid of any tinned juices.
Where to buy Buy fresh from a greengrocer or supermarket, and frozen or tinned from the supermarket.
How to store Store fresh in the fridge, tinned in the cupboard and frozen in the freezer. Keeps in the fridge for up to 3–4 days.
