Margarine

Block cooking margarine can be used instead of butter in a baking recipe. The flavour is not so good, but if you are managing a tight budget this is a good option. Soft margarine spreads will not reset once melted so do not use them for recipes such as tiffin where you are relying on the butter to set the biscuit.
