  • About
Made by blanching, salting, and drying sliced white turnips, this preserved root vegetable is sold in plastic packages labeled “salted turnip.” They are also sold loose by weight.
A versatile preparation, it’s used as a pickle or condiment and as an ingredient in soups and stir-fries. Once the package has been opened, store the salted turnip in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
