Vegetables are a fantastic garnish both visually and because they’re something you can eat. Radishes are beautiful but they also work well flavour-wise alongside strawberries in drinks, while cucumber, celery, pea shoots and slices of chilli peppers are all garnishes that feature regularly on my cocktails.
Essentially garnishes are about enhancing what’s inside the drink rather than fighting against it.
