Highball

A tall tumbler suitable for long drinks. As always, the choice is down to preference. I like a fine glass as I don’t like heavy glassware, it feels cumbersome to me and I don’t like it being thick in your mouth as you drink – the highballs I use, by Luigi Bormioli, are light to hold. I also like a short base – they have no window at the bottom of the glass so it looks like the drink starts at the table. In terms of size, I go for 250–300ml (8½–10fl oz) total volume.
