Also called zucchini flowers, squash blossoms can be found in farmers’ market at the height of the summer squash season. Select flowers that are bright in color and not wilted. To prepare them for cooking, gently open each flower to reveal the stamen or pistil. You can remove these with your fingers or culinary tweezers. Rinse with cold water, making sure the flow is gentle. Then place on a paper towel and top with a second paper towel to absorb the water.
