  • About
The batu boh is a heavy two-tiered cylindrical granite grinder, not unlike a stone mill. It was used to grind wet and previously soaked glutinous rice in the days when rice flour was not readily available. The ground product was put into sacks and topped with heavy granite blocks overnight to press out the excess water. These days, the only batu boh you would see are antique ones which descendants flaunt in their home décor.
