  • About
Salted cod roe can be eaten raw or cooked. It is rich in protein and vitamins A and B3. Raw cod roe has a slightly salty and delicate caviar-like taste. Once cooked, it takes on a smoky and sweet flavour. It is often used for onigiri, pastas, potato salads and dips. Salted cod roe can be kept in the freezer for up to 90 days and in the refrigerator for up to 6 days. To defrost, transfer the frozen cod roe to the refrigerator to thaw for 6 hours.
