We’ve long dreamed of wood-fired oven cooking in our backyard, and thanks to the fine folks over at Fontana Forni, we’re living that dream.
In 1978, in the small town of San Lorenzo in Campo, Italy, the Fontana brothers designed and built the first-ever indirect combustion oven, and since then, this family-owned operation has continued to innovate and raise the bar for Italian-built wood-fired ovens. Funny enough, we discovered them because of their Florence outpost—Florence, South Carolina, that is.
