Established in 1960, this cooperative is in the Sulcis area of Cagliari, one of the few phylloxera-free areas of Europe. With one of Italy’s top oenologists, Giacomo Tachis, as a consultant, they have a strong focus on quality. Internationally recognised, their Carignano del Sulcis DOC is made in several styles, including the juicy Rocca Rubia, barrique-aged for 10–12 months, and the heavier Terre Brune, barrique-aged for 18-20 months. Latinia is their dessert wine, made from late-harvest Nasco grapes.
