  • About
Thai basil is similar to European sweet basil (which may be used as a substitute) but milder in taste. It has a distinctive, anise scent and a delicate, musty flavor with a touch of licorice and pepper, which make it good for eating raw, stir frying whole, or adding to curries and salads. It is sold at farmers’ markets and Asian groceries.
