Chili, Thai Bird or Serrano

Red or green Thai bird chilies (small, slender, extremely hot and flavorful) and serrano chilies (larger and usually green) are widely available in supermarkets and Asian markets. The two are interchangeable in recipes, although Thai bird chilies are a little more subtle in flavor.
