Sichuan peppercorns have a petal-like husk with a pleasant aroma, while the seeds inside are similar to, but perhaps a little more spicy than, black pepper. They are available in Chinese groceries and are best when toasted before use (see โ€œSeeds and Peppercorns, Toasted)
