  • About
Turmeric, a native of southeast Asia that is now grown in tropical climates throughout the world, comes from the rhizomes of a plant in the ginger family. Although the dried rhizomes are available, they are hard and difficult to grind at home. Store-bought ground turmeric is perfectly good. Turmeric has many nutritional properties, and keeps green vegetables green and crispy when cooked.
