Prawn. In Spain, these are usually sold cooked or raw in their shell. In Britain you can buy uncooked frozen prawns which simply need to be blanched if they are not going to be cooked during the recipe. Gambas are favourites for appetisers. Eat them grilled or al apilo, with olive oil, garlic and a dash of chilli.
