For flour, sugar, dried beans, rice, etc. Storage containers can be large screw-top jars, plastic ice cream cartons or purpose-made storage containers: anything will do as long as it is airtight. Polythene bags or open packets of rice or pasta can be sealed with clothes pegs or rubber bands.
