These meatier fish have a much milder flavor than anchovies, and they can hold up to toast spread with smoky harissas, spicy mustards, creamy compound butters, and lots of lemon. Try them with the Lemon Confit, for example. Serve these tins with a small fork for dainty flaking, and plenty of fresh bread.
