Before the salad makes its way onto your sandwich, mix it well, and give it a taste for seasoning. The canned tuna, mayo, and any pickles you added might already have you covered on the salty front, but a few grinds of black pepper can go a long way. If your salad leans more on alliums, herbs, and fresh vegetables than it does on briny things, then you might want to add a few drops of white wine vinegar for a touch of acidity.
