Place the coconut in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet in a 350°F [180°C] oven. Toast for 10 to 15 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned. Stir the coconut with a wooden spoon every 5 minutes or so, to ensure it browns evenly. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
