Apera, registered in 2012 as the name to replace Sherry for Australian wines previously thus named. At the same time, Fino, Amontillado, and Oloroso were replaced by the more prosaic, but decidedly less Andalucian, Dry, Medium Dry, Medium Sweet, Semi-Sweet, and Sweet.
