  • About

Although Germany formed its own group of daring iconoclasts, the Barrique Forum, in the early 1990s, most of the cooperage used until very recently has been large, old, and typically on the Mosel a Fuder holding 1,000 l/264 gal or on the Rhine a StĂĽck of 1,200 l/317 gal. A Halbfuder and HalbstĂĽck are half these sizes respectively.
