  • About

Bohemia, western part of the czech republic that is better known for the production of beer and glasses than for wine. There are some small vineyard areas around the towns of Mělník and Roudnice, and the Lobkowicz estates in particular have made some good-quality red wine. A substantial business making sparkling wines, generally from imported base wine, is based in the region.
