Bordeaux blend, usually a red wine made up of some or all of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, petit verdot, and possibly malbec and carmenère. Its white wine counterpart is made from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and possibly Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle. See also meritage.
