Cesanese, the red grape variety of lazio. The superior Cesanese d’Affile clone (a minor ingredient in the cult wine Trinoro of southern Tuscany) is very slightly more common than Cesanese Comune, which has larger berries and is also known as Bonvino Nero. Total plantings of both were only 670 ha/1,656 acres in 2010.
