Cienna, new variety bred in Australia from the Spanish sumoll and Cabernet Sauvignon and released, with its sister variety Tyrian, in 2000. Both varieties have good sugar to acid ratios, low ph, good colour and flavour, and adequate yields. Cienna is very tannic.
