  • About

fasciation, a growth abnormality, of shoots in particular, in which the stem is broadened and flattened as though there were several shoots fused side by side. It is relatively rare in grapevines, although some varieties seem to be prone. The cause is unknown but it is a common symptom of fanleaf degeneration infection.
