Great Southern, high-quality, cool climate wine region with 63 producers in 2014 in the extreme south west of western australia, including subregions Albany, Denmark, Frankland River, Mount Barker and Porongurup. Each has its own terroir and climate dictated in part by the distance from the south coast of Western Australia.
