Grosser Ring, the Mosel branch of the vdp growers’ association. Founded in 1908 in Trier, where its annual September auctions are still a prestigious feature of Germany’s wine calendar as well as an indicator of vintage quality and market health, the group comprises 31 growers (as of 2014).
