  • About

gyropalette or girasol, special metal crate holding many dozen inverted bottles of traditional method sparkling wine in a remote-controlled, movable frame. This is the mechanized form of riddling and was developed in Cataluña in the 1970s. They are now widely used in champagne, italy, and elsewhere. Girasol is Spanish for sunflower, which also turns during a 24-hour period.
