gyropalette or girasol, special metal crate holding many dozen inverted bottles of traditional method sparkling wine in a remote-controlled, movable frame. This is the mechanized form of riddling and was developed in Cataluña in the 1970s. They are now widely used in champagne, italy, and elsewhere.
