Hondarrabi Beltza, rare Spanish basque red wine grape related to Cabernet Franc and grown to produce red and rosé txakoli. The pale-skinned grapes making white Txakoli are called Hondarribi Zuri of which Spain’s total plantings had grown to 665 ha/1,642 acres by 2011. But these vines are probably a mix of courbu blanc, crouchen, and, according to one reference sample for dna profiling, the American hybrid noah. Hondarrabi is also known as Hondarribi.
