  • About

Vines called Jurançon have in their time been cultivated in practically every region of south west France, other than Jurançon itself. The dark-berried version Jurançon Noir was once the high-yielding aramon-like workhorse of this part of France and 567 ha/1,400 acres were still in production in 2011, mainly in Gers and Tarn. Jurançon Blanc was once quite widely planted for armagnac production but is nearly extinct.
