L’Acadie Blanc, winter-hardy grape variety speciality of Nova Scotia and Quebec in canada. Named after the French term for Nova Scotia, it is a cross of Cascade (a complex hybrid created by seibel) and seyve-villard 14–287 made in 1953 at Vineland Research, Ontario (now part of Guelph University). It ripens early, has good disease resistance, and is particularly suitable for regions with very short growing seasons.
