Leányka, meaning ‘maiden’, widely planted hungarian white wine grape, sometimes confused with the feteascǎ Albǎ of Romania. Varietal Leányka has long been produced in eger and neighbouring Bükk and Mátra. Total plantings were 837 ha/2,067 acres in 2011. It may be a parent of királyleányka. For more details, see hungary.
